Editorial & Fact-Check Policy

How Korea in View maintains information quality and trust.

Single-Source Principle

Every festival record on this site is sourced from a single authoritative source — the Korea Tourism Organization TourAPI. Our team does not create, edit, or remove schedules, venues, or contact details on our own.

Data Refresh Procedure

Festival data is synced with the Korea Tourism Organization TourAPI on a periodic schedule. Each refresh records the data ingestion timestamp as metadata.

When an organizer changes or cancels an event, that information is reflected on this site automatically after it lands in the official source. Urgent cancellations are fast-tracked when reported by users.

Fact-Check Standards

• Festival name, dates, venue: drawn directly from the Korea Tourism Organization TourAPI

• Contact details and homepage: shown only when present in the source; we do not fill in missing values ourselves

• Images: only official images bundled with the source data are used

• Statistics (monthly/regional distribution): computed directly from source data, never estimated

Correction Requests

If you spot incorrect information, please report it via the Contact page. Each report is cross-checked against the Korea Tourism Organization TourAPI source; once the upstream data is corrected, this site is updated automatically. Initial response is provided within 3-5 business days.

Ad-Editorial Separation

Advertising (such as Google AdSense) is visually distinguished from festival listings, and ad revenue never influences ranking or visibility. Festival ordering follows schedule-based automated logic only.

Update History

When this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page is refreshed. Originally published: 2026-06-19
