Gyeongbokgung, an autumn morning route

An autumn morning in 2025, I walked Gyeongbokgung. I check hours and closed days again on TourAPI and the heritage site every time I go.

If you go in a little earlier than the Gwanghwamun side, the photo line in front of Geunjeongjeon is still short. The hanbok rental queue stretches toward noon, so if you only want the buildings, walk the axis first and look at the clothes later.

There is not much shade in the courtyards. On a clear day I wanted a hat and water. Follow the official guides for the history; this note is only that morning's route.

Before leaving, the shade toward the National Palace Museum is an easy pause before the next stop. Entry rules change by season, so I check the official channel before I start.
